We saved the best for last with a day in Savannah! And I got to hang out with Karolina for the day because it’s Saturday and she isn’t working!! Wahoo!
She had a tennis lesson in the morning and I stayed home to workout. Then we got dressed and ready and headed out.

I was taking so many pictures I had to apologize. We had barely started and I was stopping every two feet to capture the cool door or building. Karolina challenged us to find our favorite house of the day.
Coffee first at Frankie’s and we had to get the famous Lavender Latte! So yummy! Then we walked! There’s all these little gardens with monuments throughout. And the trees are so fun with the hanging moss. Everyone was out on Saturday and we saw lots of historical tours and the tour guides were dressed up like old Southern men with a mixed drink, hat, white suit and pipe. There were also lots of ghost tours which were interesting to see.
We walked through the farmer’s market and people were out playing live music and making art. And we saw lots of Vendors and we even found my friend with the gluten free dairy free muffins again. We also saw one of Karolina’s friends who was taking her dog and a book hammocking. It was such a beautiful day and perfect weather at 75 and sunny. Everyone kept saying how unusual the weather was and I was just soaking it up. They also said that the market in the summer is pretty miserable when it’s hot and humid. So I was lucky.
Then we walked to lunch based off her friend’s recommendation. We asked for a place that would have a lot of food since we were hungry. It was an interesting walk because it was about 20 minutes down the road. And you could feel how quickly the city changed from cute Instagram homes to a little dangerous.
We also did some shopping and I got a Savannah hat! I felt so stylish and now we matched! They were also the hit of the day! We also got so many compliments from people walking by - “Love the hats y’all,” “I love you’re hat” and my personal favorite was the one from the woman in the shop - “I love your outfits. I saw you guys when I was walking to get lunch and I thought, ‘they look so cute.’” Never had so many compliments on an outfit in one day.

We also saw Karolina’s church and it’s famous because the steeple is in the movie Forest Gump. We walked through more markets and down by the water. And through the little Paris shop which was my personal favorite.
I loved that you could just walk around as an activity.
We hit our 20,000 steps and refueled with ice cream and Zunzies take two. That was my suggestion and I was beginning to feel like a local after going twice in a week.

Then we headed to her friends to watch a movie. Early morning wake up to head back home.
