We woke up early so Karolina could get to work and she would have time to drop me off at the Harbour.
It was beautiful and sunny and we even saw a few dolphins on our drive! Karolina lives just off the island so we had to cross the bridge to Hilton Head. She knows so much and was explaining all the fun facts about the island.

We made a quick stop before the Harbour. Karolina had me close my eyes and I could feel the car shaking as we were definitely off the main road. When I opened it was like we had entered a fairy land. Magical trees draping over the road with the morning mist. We had to get out and take pictures. It was a graveyard and it’s one of the best photo spots where a lot of brides take their pictures.

We got to the Harbour and it was so quiet. Karolina was in shock that nobody was there and we were able to actually get a parking spot.
She showed me around and the places I could shop, sit, get coffee and where we would meet for lunch.
To be honest when she pulled away I felt a little anxious. It felt like my heart had been racing the past few weeks and now it came to a complete stop. Here I was, alone and my body would actually need to stop moving for the first time in weeks. That took a little adjusting.

I went to the rocking chairs first and read my Bible and wrote for a while. Walked around the shops and went to get a coffee. Then went down to the dock and did some more writing. I didn’t realize how much I had to process. I also made some friends along the beach and in the shops because I needed someone to talk to. I think the lady at the coffee shop was a little taken a back when I didn’t stop after the cordial “How are you?” and started telling her about my day. Yes, I have a lot of words to share!!
Karolina came back for lunch at the cafe and then headed back to work. I spent the afternoon reading, drawing, walking around, and shopping. I also fell asleep in the chair at one point. I think some of the shop wonders were starting to look at me funny. Then had the most beautiful sunset with some dolphins swimming right in front. Ahh it never gets old.

We went out to dinner and had awesome conversation and told Karolina all about my day.
