Dramamine. Who knew. My mouth goes numb as the tablet is still on my tongue. I can feel the tingle in my throat. But I am so thankful, as we are on the second level of this bus swaying back and forth in traffic. I guess it’s nap time for me.

Guys! What a nap! 6 hours later we have arrived. Fastest bus ride of my life. What do I remember? Wake up, sleep, wake up sleep, wake up sleep. Oh look some pretty mountains. More sleep.
Now it’s time to explore a new city.
We are greeted by a chocolate festival. I paid too much for my bite.

We wander the streets. Finally deciding on sushi for dinner. Yay, sushi by the sea. We laugh and giggle the entire meal. Trying not to draw to much attention from the waiters. But how can we not, we are the only ones here. I’m reminded Italians don’t eat until 8pm.
Next it’s time for gelato. Of course, the only way to round out the evening. We are too confused by this one. It’s frozen yogurt I think? How do we order? My friend goes first. Getting absolutely everything in her bowl. I don’t think that’s what she wanted. Confirmed when she turns around with big eyes looking at the mountain of ice cream.
I try to ask “What is this?” My friend whispers the Italian words but I’m too nervous and instead it comes out, “Queso?” Did I just ask for queso on my ice cream? He gives a little giggle. My friend helps me out, “Que e questo?” It’s not what I want. I ask for, “Bambini?” The baby size. He laughs again. Fills my cup with chocolate ice cream and some toppings and hands it to me. “No charge!” I try to pay but he gives me a wink and will not accept. I won’t argue too hard on this one.
Our train is soon so we head to the station. Unsure of what platform so the logical thing to do is ask. But the answer we receive has a hint of, “Oh you so dumb for not knowing.” I mean duh, how could we not know that the platform number that was not on our ticket was listed on the screen with a different name. Platform 9 and 3/4. Ahh now I get it!
Time to go to our humble abode for the evening. It warms my heart as we walk into our little castle.
