Jen said it so well, “it’s like a boutique city.” Yes! That’s exactly what it is! Everything is so unique and interesting and you find all these nooks and crannies. And you could take pictures of everything. And it is a beach town, but it doesn’t really feel like a beach town.

I loved it. I’m so exhausted. But in the best way. We had fun, which was what I really wanted from the trip. It didn’t really matter what we did because I got to spend time with my sister and that’s all I wanted. I love Jen. I love our friendship. I love that we make each other better. I love that we challenge each other and think differently. We can cry together and we did that a lot. We can laugh and be our totally goofy selves and not feel like someone is judging. I know we are in this for the long haul and she will always be in my life. I’m thankful that she’s more than a sister, she’s my best friend.

Sisterhood is so funny, because Jen and I weren’t always like this. We are so different and we grew up mostly fighting and arguing. But we had a lot of healing happen when I was in college after a big fight and a time I thought we would never have a relationship again. We weren’t even talking at the time. But our relationship is such a picture of healing and forgiveness and reconciliation.

You know, the week really was perfect. We had perfect weather, perfect timing for things we did, perfect friendship. It was all a gift.

We enjoyed. That’s what we did. We enjoyed one another. And I really do enjoy Jen and I enjoy our relationship. And we enjoyed the city. It was sweet. It was charming. It was perfect.
